Our mind attracts what we think
Everything that happens with you and around you is a mere result of what you think. It is all there because we attracted it.
Think of your mind as a magnet and the event as the iron fillings.
The iron fillings get attracted to the magnet. And I want you to think of this magnet of the universe. You attract the people, events, etc in your life because you continuously thought about those events.
What you think became your magnet.
And you attracted similar events, similar people in your life.
Now you might be saying that you hate such kind of people in your life, yet those kind of people always show up in your life.
That is because even when you are hating them, you are continuously thinking about them and so you attract more of such people and events in your life.
How to make a change? Take a small step - think about things you care about and love about. I know it is hard at first because you have been hardwired to think in such a way. Your brain hates change so much. It would want you to be in the loop forever, doesn't realizing that this is what makes you frustrated the most.
Some things must change - I stead of thinking about the same old things - note what you are thinking - wjere you are thinking - events that made you think in such a manner. Is it a trauma or perhaps something g your parents told you or your friends. And event that changed you. Just wrote down everything.
Once you have written down every kind of event - good, bad, and the events that shaped you, you will realize they why part of your thoughts.
And then you will know when those thoughts strike the most and at what event.
Once you have written down everything you will know how these thinking habits have made you the person you are today.
It is so hard to change ourselves. It is harder than anything else. First understand this - this is the thoughts cycle that would help you understand this deeply.

Think of a normal day where you just are at the end of your day - the last hour. You perhaps were satisfied with whatever happened and you feel that you did whatever was in your capacity. There is just one feeling that is dominating- satisfied or not.
If you feel satisfied, you are preparing your subconscious mind right before the sleep that you are content, happy with whatever happened today and your would be sleeping with that feeling. Your mind takes this deep in your sleep - releases similar chemicals and prepared your mind in such a manner for the first hour after you wake up.
As soon as you wake up - you feel content and satisfied and happy that you woke up. You further think positively and enforce this principle in life. Even if you had setbacks during the day - if you feel satisfied during the last hour of your sleep, you are sleeping with a happy mind and reproducing those emotions again. This happiness crop must be taken care because one negative night can ruin it.
You will slowly become really good at it - just like an expert who has mastered Kung fu.
The warrior within you just became stronger.
And you will slowly have similar people who think in same manner like you. There will be events that happen - out of nowhere that you thought 5 years back - happening because you took good care of the crops of satisfaction and happiness.
