My first flight

Hi! It was the year 2008. The year of Scare for the US Financial System :( But it was new and exciting for me:) I was going to college! Wee haa! You know what does it mean going to college? Ask a kid whos just learned walking, how it feels. Or ask a kid whos just learned riding a bicycle. They will be doing those for hours without getting tired at all! That feeling gives me goosebumps. I am excited to be going to college! I will be a grown up now.  The best part - No more uniforms! Yes, the civil dress code! Now I am gonna live like a king and wear whatever I like. At least I will be staying away from the family, but I am gonna have a lot of cool friends just like me. And I will be staying in the Hostel. I have trained myself enough to wash my own clothes and iron them, to be precise. Everything looks good! Life's going to be the best for the next 4 years! Joining the College

It was July 23, 2008, 0000 hrs. My dad and I just came from Bhopal after submitting the counselling at MANIT Bhopal. We were excited about the prospective colleges that I applied. I was imagining that I joined a college of National repute and associating all the stories I ever heard about the life at a reputed institute. Afterall, it was a dedicated effort of more than 5 years that was bearing the fruits. The earlier day, I was of the opinion of joining Aeronautical Engineering from any institute, than joining an institute of reputation. But their fee structure did not allow me to do so. I also explored Marine Engineering and how it could impact my earnings in the future. But then I received a letter saying I passed the examination without appearing in it.
